Roseland Amateur Radio Club

Roseland Amateur Radio Club is a long-established amateur radio club in Roseland, Essex County, New Jersey, with a history that stretches back more than 75 years to the post World War II era. The club is ARRL affiliated and continues to serve as a local gathering place for people who enjoy radio, public service, learning, and fellowship.

What makes Roseland ARC stand out is its blend of tradition and everyday activity. The club welcomes operators across all license levels, encourages newcomers, and supports people who want to grow in the hobby through mentoring and shared experience. It is a place where amateur radio is not just about equipment and operating, but also about community, curiosity, and helping others discover what the service has to offer.

The club also maintains a strong public service spirit. In recent years, Roseland ARC has continued supporting community events in Essex County, including local runs and walks, showing that amateur radio remains a practical and valued part of civic life.

Another active part of the club is its weekly Community Amateur Radio Social Net, which has been running since August 30, 2023. Held every Tuesday evening, it gives local and regional operators a consistent way to connect, check in, and enjoy conversation that ranges from radio topics to everyday life. The ongoing 2026 net reports illustrate that this continues to be a regular and active part of the club’s identity.

Whether you are newly licensed, returning to amateur radio after time away, or simply looking for a friendly club in northern New Jersey, Roseland Amateur Radio Club offers a welcoming place to get involved. It is a club built on history, sustained by volunteer spirit, and kept vibrant by members who enjoy learning, operating, and staying connected.
